Anyone can easily research legal cases which may involve Shariah law in your own state, using search terms such as Shariah, Sharia, “Islamic Law,” or the names of countries where the Shariah is applied for family, civil, contractual and/or criminal cases.  Let’s walk through a sample search from a different state than those above – Virginia:

2. Enter the search term “Islamic law” in the search field for “the exact phrase”
3. If you scroll down, you’ll see that you can search for “legal opinions and journals” for all legal opinions, just U.S. Federal opinions, or court opinions from one or several of the 50 states.

4. Then select the box for Virginia, home of many of the authors of the Constitution

And you’ll see two legal cases:
7. The first case is Ahmed FARAH v. Naima Mansur FARAH, Record No. 0184-92-4, Court of Appeals of Virginia, May 11, 1993.  In this case, the lower court had accepted Shariah law (Islamic law) as valid law in Virginia.  The appeals court held that “trial judge erred by declaring the Farahs’ marriage to be valid in Virginia based on the trial judge’s finding that the marriage was valid under Islamic or Pakistani law.”
8.  The second case, ALI AFGHAHI,v. NEDA GHAFOORIAN, Record No. 1481-09-4, Court of Appeals of Virginia, Alexandria, March 30, 2010, was also a divorce case.  The court of appeals affirmed the lower court decision for the husband to pay the wife 514 gold coins; he had claimed his wife was not an expert on Islamic or Shariah law, and the appeals court stated that she was not required for the purposes of testifying on the marriage contract to be an expert in Shariah.
8.  Caveat: Google scholar is not a professional search tool, like Westlaw, so additional cases may be found using more thorough methods.

Federal Judge Agrees: CAIR Tied to Hamas  11/22/2010

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has been connected to the terrorist organization Hamas, a federal judge said in a July 2009 ruling unsealed last week.

"The government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, with NAIT, the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas," U.S. District Court Judge Jorge Solis said in the July 1, 2009, ruling.

CAIR, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) had protested to Solis that they were incorrectly named as unindicted co-conspirators in the 2008 trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. Among the allegations, HLF was accused of having provided more than $12 million to Hamas. After a 2007 mistrial, five former HLF officials convicted on 108 counts, ranging from money laundering to conspiring to provide material support to terrorists.

Following the trial, CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT have argued that their inclusion on the list injured their standing in the community, and their image. They wanted their ties to Hamas removed from the trial records and the list sealed.

Solis agreed the list should not have been made public, saying that doing so violated the Fifth Amendment rights of the listed individuals and organizations. Criticizing the decision to publish the list, the judge explained that CAIR has been subjected to "annoyance, ridicule, scorn, and a loss of reputation in the community." (see the IPTs earlier coverage of the decision to publish the list here).

However, Solis refused to remove references to CAIR and the other groups from the trial record. That's because the government introduced extensive evidence tying CAIR to Hamas. "The public," he wrote, "may make its own judgment from evidence presented at trial."

Solis filed his July 2009 ruling under seal, and until recently, it was unclear what information was actually contained in the order.

NAIT attempted to have Solis' ruling revised, asking the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals to unseal the order and strike any references that tied the organization to Hamas. "The District Court's analysis, NAIT argues, essentially tars it with the same brush of guilt by association that the government used in its pre-trial brief," explained the appellate court. The court agreed to unseal the lower court ruling, but refused to strike Judge Solis' explanation that the groups were tied to Hamas.

While Solis' ruling may provide new ammunition for the groups to claim their rights were violated when they were publicly named as unindicted co-conspirators, they also have to explain why a federal judge determined the government had "ample evidence" tying the groups to a designated terrorist organization.

"CAIR's status as a co-conspirator is a matter of public record," Solis explained. Examining the trial proceedings, he recounted the numerous ties between ISNA, NAIT, and CAIR.

During the trial, the government introduced documents detailing the Muslim Brotherhood's beginnings in the United States. Amongst those was the May 22, 1991, "Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America," authored by Mohamed Akram. The memorandum includes a section titled "Understanding the role of the Muslim Brother in North America" which states that the work of the Ikhwan in the United States is a "kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all religions."

Also contained in the document was a list of the Muslim Brotherhood's "organizations and the organizations of our friends," which includes ISNA, NAIT, the Occupied Land Fund (HLFs former name, and others.

In another exhibit, titled "Preliminary vision for preparing future leadership," dated Dec. 18, 1998, ISNA is listed as an "apparatus" of the Brotherhood. When the Holy Land Foundation first began, it raised money and supported Hamas through a bank account it held with ISNA and NAIT. ISNA checks deposited into the account were often payable to "the Palestinian Mujahiden."

The Investigative Project on Terrorism has long chronicled the financial ties between ISNA/NAIT and Hamas, including coverage of the trial against HLF. Exhibits entered during the trial included an expense voucher from NAIT, an ISNA subsidiary, made out for $10,000 in the name of Musa Abu Marzook, as well as a check drawn on a NAIT account in the same amount made out to Marzook. Another check for $10,000 on the same account was made out to Marzook's wife, Nadia Elashi. Another check for $30,000 was made out to the Islamic University of Gaza (and has Shukri Abu Baker/OLF written on the memo line), a school long known to be controlled by HAMAS, and which counted such notables as former Hamas leader Dr. Abdel Aziz Rantissi and current Hamas leader Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahar as professors, and the recently deposed Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh is a former dean of the University.

In addition to the financial connections, the trial also revealed cooperation between the organizations and their respective leadership. During the trial, the government introduced documents relating to the creation of the "Palestine Committee," which was established to support Hamas. The Committee was run by Hamas leader Mousa Abu Marzook, and included representatives from the Islamic Association of Palestine, the Holy Land Foundation, and CAIR, represented by founder Omar Ahmad.

Ahmad also attended the 1993 Philadelphia conference, where leaders of the organizations under the Muslim Brotherhood umbrella met to discuss the future of the Brotherhood in the United States. The Philadelphia conference was attended by several members of the Palestine Committee, which supported and collected money for Hamas.

At the conference, attendees discussed how to proceed in light of the recently negotiated Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestinians. Hamas opposed the accords because it called for the recognition of the state of Israel. The attendees discussed how they would have to be careful in their opposition to the Oslo Accords because they did not want to be viewed as being against the peace process or as aligned with terrorist groups. As Special Agent Lara Burns testified during the trial, President HLF President Shukri Abu Baker explained that the new entity should present a benign face compared to existing Islamist groups: "And let's not hoist a large Islamic flag, and let's not be barbaric-talking. We will remain a front so that if the thing happens, we will benefit from the new happenings instead of having all of our organizations classified and exposed."

TEHRAN (FNA)- Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said that the West has hatched plots to spread Islamophobia in a bid to block growing conversion to Islam, and demanded the Muslim nations to take collective action to defuse these plots.

Speaking in a meeting with Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki here in Tehran on Monday, Ihsanoglu cautioned that spreading "Islamophobia, insulting Islamic values and sparking and spreading hatred for Islam are high on the agenda of the West, and urged the entire Muslim states to take established, and institutionalized collective measures" to confront the western plots in this regard.

He further elaborated on the OIC's activities and plans to counter Islamophobia, insult to Islamic values and resolve Muslim issues such as Palestine, and called Iran's supports and activities in these grounds as "highly crucial".

The OIC chief also appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran for its continued supports for the OIC and its valuable role in different OIC plans and programs.

He also underlined that the member states' enhanced activity to materialize the organization's goals is a basic need and necessity.

Ihsanoglu came to Tehran to attend an OIC Tourism Ministers meeting on Sunday. The three-day meeting kicked off work in the Iranian capital yesterday to explore ways to boost cooperation among the member states.

Ministers and representatives from 30 member states are present at the 7th OIC Tourism Ministers Conference. Tourism ministers from Iraq, Algeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Mali, Guinea, Lebanon, Syria, Cameroon, Senegal and Uganda are attending the event to finalize proposals suggested by their experts.

The first conference of the OIC members on tourism dubbed 'the Islamic Countries' Healthy and Secure Tourism' ended in Iran's Northeastern city of Mashhad on November 4, 2010.

IRVINE, Calif. – Late at night, the neighbors saw a little girl at the kitchen sink of the house next door. They watched through their window as the child rinsed plates under the open faucet. She wasn't much taller than the counter and the soapy water swallowed her slender arms.

To put the dishes away, she climbed on a chair.

But she was not the daughter of the couple next door doing chores. She was their maid.

Shyima was 10 when a wealthy Egyptian couple brought her from a poor village in northern Egypt to work in their California home. She awoke before dawn and often worked past midnight to iron their clothes, mop the marble floors and dust the family's crystal. She earned $45 a month working up to 20 hours a day. She had no breaks during the day and no days off.

The trafficking of children for domestic labor in the U.S. is an extension of an illegal but common practice in Africa. Families in remote villages send their daughters to work in cities for extra money and the opportunity to escape a dead-end life. Some girls work for free on the understanding that they will at least be better fed in the home of their employer.

Ga. judge jails Muslim woman over head scarf

ATLANTA – A Muslim woman arrested for refusing to take off her head scarf at a courthouse security checkpoint said Wednesday that she felt her human and civil rights were violated. A judge ordered Lisa Valentine, 40, to serve 10 days in jail for contempt of court, said police in Douglasville, a city of about 20,000 people on Atlanta's west suburban outskirts.

Valentine violated a court policy that prohibits people from wearing any headgear in court, police said after they arrested her Tuesday.

Kelley Jackson, a spokeswoman for Georgia Attorney General Thurbert Baker, said state law doesn't permit or prohibit head scarfs.

"It's at the discretion of the judge and the sheriffs and is up to the security officers in the court house to enforce their decision," she said.

Valentine, who recently moved to Georgia from New Haven, Conn., said the incident reminded her of stories she'd heard of the civil rights-era South.

First Muslim-friendly virtual world goes online

HELSINKI (AFP) – A trial version of the world's first Muslim-friendly virtual world has gone online where users can create their own persona, design their own rooms, buy virtual items and interact with others.

Called Muxlim Pal and created by the Finnish-based company Muxlim.com, the English-language site caters primarily to Muslims living in western countries who long to reconnect with other Muslims and Muslim culture.

"Muxlim Pal is just another channel for our users to socialise, have fun and express themselves using social media in a safe and friendly atmosphere," Muxlim chief executive Mohamed El-Fatatry, 23, told AFP.

On Muxlim Pal, which is free of charge to join, users can shop for clothes for their avatar at the mall, hang out at the beach cafe, pray at the mosque or go to concerts.

On November 12, 2008, the “Hanein” online forum published a post by an internet user named Abu Salem warning against the publication of new caricature drawings in Denmark. Abu Salem quoted an Arabic article published on a Danish news website on November 11, which discussed a new book about to be published in Denmark of caricature drawings of the Prophet Muhammad. In response to these new caricatures, the Danish Imam, Abdul Wahid Pedersen, described the drawings as part of a “storm” facing Danish Muslims over the past several years, in which a war of words and letters has transformed into one of caricatures.

Danish sources said the 73-year-old Danish caricaturist, Kurt Westergaard, has provided new caricatures for a soon-to-be published book in Denmark by Danish Historian Lars Hedegaard. The new caricature drawings depict the Prophet, politicians, and religious leaders. The book will contain 26 drawings by Westergaard, whose caricatures in the “Jyllands Posten” newspaper in September 2005 triggered a local and international crisis.

The forum serves as a mouthpiece for Al-Qaeda and other Jihad organizations, despite its proclamation that: "Hanein Forum Network would like to express that it is an independent network that seeks to preach for Allah as well as for what is best to serve the Islamic nation. This proclamation was added only in a recent upgrade to the website and did not appear previously. The Hanein forum may have been seeking to disassociate itself from Al-Qaeda following the blocking of the main Jihadi websites “Al-Firdaws” and “Al-Ikhlaas". [...]

Historian Lars Hedegaard heads an organization supporting freedom of speech and invited Geert Wilders, producer of the controversial movie “Fitna,” to Denmark in June 2008. According to the online post, Hedegaard’s book is set to be published at the beginning of December 2008.

In his post, Abu Salem requests that all who love the Prophet Muhammad help spread the news of the upcoming publication and notify religious leaders of what “these pigs” are attempting to do. One forum visitor responded to the post, suggesting that Bin Laden attack Copenhagen, repeating the call: “Bin Laden, Copenhagen!” several times. Another forum visitor wrote: “Our blood... our souls... our children... our money... all that we have... the entire world… anything so that a single hair of your distinguished head [i.e. Muhammad] is not harmed.”...

A doll that turned up recently proves what any muslim will tell you, " It's never too early to indoctrinate your child". The doll is supposed to coo and say momma but it is what it isn't supposed to say that is drawing attention from concerned parents.

 The doll says " Islam is the light" . One parent even said she heard "Satan is the King".  Fisher Price makes the doll and has offered a full refund to anyone bringing the doll back but the question that hasn't been resolved is How did this happen and why was the product not checked.

Political Correct Rhetoric would state that it isn't anything violent or graphic so no harm no foul but we know better. Also what would stop someone from programming a baby wet myself to say "hey screw you asshole" and it also end up on the shelves at a toy store and in the arms of a child.

You would think with the lead paint scare of previous years that there would be more stringent guidelines in place for checking out toys that end up in the arms of our children. In this case the mouths of our children because we all know children will repeat anything and are like a sponge soaking everything they see and hear up. Fisher Price is known for making age suitable toys for children that are supposed to be tested and safe. They have lured us into a false sense of security with their so called reputation for child safety. Shame on you Fisher Price. This isn't about a refund it is about the security of the minds of our children and you have failed miserably. Fisher Price denies the claim of what the doll is saying so please watch the video and judge for yourself.





ISLAMBERG NEW YORK TERROR CAMP GOES TAX FREE ON YOUR BACKS

In upstate New York nestled in the backwoods you can hear gunfire from a remote location. As you travel up the road leading to the sounds you will find a sign reading  Islamberg New York.

This compound reminds you of other compounds taken down by the FBI except for one thing, You can actually hear and see the effects of using ammunition in training sessions. You wont have to dig for these weapons or evidence that these people use them. They are very upfront with their viewpoints and do not try to hide things such as the abandoned bus that has its windows shot out.

These people have a tax exempt compound used to train people in combat for what purpose? Jihad that is the purpose. Watch the video and draw your own conclusions.





ISLAMIST OBSESSION DEBATE

In fact, the islamists and the “angry” left are so mad, that they challenged me to present the movie Obsession to a group of Islamic, jewish and christian scholars – all who disagree with me – and defend my position, before these experts.

I said, “…sure, I’ll do that.” It is important to me that American’s see the significance of free speech, particularly on issues of radical Islamism and national security.

 Yes, I know I’m getting “set-up,” but – no big deal……TRUTH is TRUTH!

 The DEBATE will be at the University of South Florida, Tampa, hotbed of muslim student association.

It seems that CAIR has found a target to tangle with as of today. CAIR is reportedly upset over the recent airing of  the anti- Islamic Radio show Radio Jihad that is brought to you by the United American Committee. The hosts of the Show tackle the Islamic ideology that is attempting to permeate the American Culture. They explain statements in terms that anyone can understand  such as " Cultural Jihad" and they take you into the minds of the average Islamist that is attempting to become a part of our society.Radio Jihad exposes how these Islamists intend to lure your attention away from their actual intentions. They explain how complacent attitudes toward the so called moderate muslim can indeed endanger your liberties and freedoms. They delve into the propaganda that Islam spews to gain your trust and your friendship, only to show their true colors in the end when it is too late. It appears that this so called " Little go no where Radio Show" as it has been said by some Islamic critics has in deed captured the attention of a very big adversary.

UAC Victory In Florida over Religious Bigotry 9/18/2008

In less than 24 hours the Islamic bigotry displayed by the United Muslim Foundation and CAIR was removed from the UMF website.  We all learned that  “Muslim Family Day” actually meant “For Muslims Only” in the UMF’s own words.  The UMF and Husain Jaffer, always playing the consummate victims, informed Mr. Brisson the UMF will be hiring off duty cops to make sure there is no trouble from the UAC.

The victimhood card played by Husain is not done by chance.  Playing the victim has considerable manipulative power in the mainstream press.  In fact, the Council On American Islamic Relations (CAIR) perfected this type of psychological Jihad years ago.  Groups like the UMF and CAIR fear free speech when the light of truth shines in their direction.  The UMF and CAIR are inflicted with truthaphobia. 

Rest In Peace Great Britian 9/16/2008

Yesterday I mourned, and today I vow to fight against Sharia Law forever from setting its hideous, oppressive, brutal foot on American soil. I learned yesterday that Great Britain has adopted and recognized Sharia Law as a legitimate and recognized court of law in that piece of land that was their nation. Words can not describe just how incompatible Sharia Law is with the West, and how much it embodies all the evil that we are fighting in this world. Great Britain has fallen, a nation which had a form of government that we largely based the American system after. I serve in several capacities in life where I had to take an oath to defend the Constitution, and never has there been a time before in my life where that oath has meant more than it does today.

Send your letters of condolences to British officials/ambassadors in America today, and be prepared to aggressively defend our own Constitution in the fight of your life now and forever from this grave threat to its existence.

Join me, and take a vow to never submit.
